Shelley Long, best known for her portrayal of barmaid Dianne Chambers in the sitcom Cheers is to team up with actor Martin Short, star of such films as Innerspace, in a new sitcom, it has been announced. The new sitcom is to be called "The Long and Short" and will air on NBC on Thursday nights from mid-May.
