Trevor Muirhead and Neil McKenzie Guilty of sending parcel bombs to Celtic manager Neil Lennon



Two men have been found guilty of sending nail bombs to Celtic manager Neil Lennon and high-profile Celtic supporters.


Neil McKenzie and Trevor Muirhead were convicted of conspiracy to assault after Jiffy bags containing bottles of potentially explosive liquid, a timer and dozens of nails were sent through the post.

The packages lacked other key components necessary to create an explosion, but a jury decided that the pair believed they would inflict injury.

The two Rangers fans sent devices to Lennon, the late Paul McBride QC, who acted on legal matters for Celtic, and former MSP Trish Godman, who wore a Celtic strip on her last day before retiring from parliament. Read More
