Maria Kozhevnikova - Playboy cover model succeeds Russian legislature seat

Maria Kozhevnikova, a former actress and model who once come into sight on the cover of Russian Playboy, is about to occupy a seat in legislature for Vladimir Putin's United Russia party.

Maria Kozhevnikova, 27, has moved quickly up the positions after joining the party's youth movement, the Young Guard.

Amongst demonstrates over a doubtful parliamentary election prior this month, she protected Mr. Putin.

I have observed Mr. Putin close up many times and I would like to say that this person has very strong vibes," Miss Kozhevnikova said.

"I have seen how people have changed when they got close to Putin, not because they are frightened, but because they feel a relaxation and strong trust. Because of this, the West is frightened of him, and that is clear."

She repeated Mr. Putin in signifying demonstrations was being financed from foreign country.

"A 'strong Russia' cannot be controlled. Protest rallies have never resolved the people's difficulties and inquired their goals. The people were far ever just a stick in the struggle for power."

Miss Kozhevnikova, who posed for Playboy in 2009, is the daughter of an ice hockey player, the Daily Mail reported.

After winning a seat to represent Tomsk in Siberia she said: "For me this is a very greatest event in my life." 


Yesterday, Mr Putin mocked a largest numbers of Russians who have disapproved against his government in recent weeks, dismissing his opponents as salaried agents of the West.
