Thankful Thursday and a few Wise Thoughts

what a wonderful day.

i got quite a bit accomplished this morning, on the writing end of things.

now i am off to get a few things done around the house.

my husband has been making me laugh more then ever.

i love his silly sense of humor.

and i love that the kids enjoy it so much too.

this weekend will be great,
we get to spend some quality time with some of my most favorite people!

ooh-and so thankful my bro recommended this sweet book

that i finally finished reading.

 Marcus Aurelius, The Emperor's Handbook

what an inspiring man!

he had so many brilliant thoughts in this book,

many of which are still so relevant to today.

i thought i'd share a few of my favorites,

"Get in the habit of limiting yourself only to those thoughts that-if you are suddenly asked, "What are you thinking at this moment?"-enable you to reply without equivocation or hesitation. In this way, you show the world a simple, kindly man, a good neighbor, someone who is indifferent to sensual pleasures and luxuries and untouched by jealousy, envy, mistrust, or any thought you would blush to admit."

another....

"Don't act as if you'll live to be a thousand. Your days are numbered...while you still can, become good."

also...

"Bad luck - borne nobly is good luck."

and my favorite...

"Let this be your one joy and delight: to go from one act of kindness to another with your mind fixed on God."

Thankful Thursday: Snow Angels

We drove out to Flagstaff this weekend with my brothers and their families so the kiddos could play in the snow! Although, I must admit I think the adults were just as excited!

I thought I'd share a few pics from the day! Aren't our little snow Angels the cutest?!

Brea was freezing! Her words for the day, "Daddy...Momma...hold me."

When Jocelyn finished eating too many chocolate chips cookies she decided to taste the snow.

Ava sat in her momma's lap most of the day, looking awfully cute all bundled up.

Layla making a snow Angel.

Mya thought the snow tasted yummy!

Trinity taking a lunch break.

Issac at full speed.

Ava and Sadie staying warm in the tent.

Eliza taking a break.

The hubby and I had a great time with the family!
So thankful we were able to get away for the day.

Happy Thursday!
