Clinging to Faith

Isn’t life amazing? It is full of trials, but it is also full of blessings!
The other day I met with a friend who was so transparent and honest about some of the pain that she has been dealing with, and yet, in the midst of her pain she has been able to find her blessings!
It seems as though there is always someone hurting. Our prayers are filled with requests for loved one’s health, financial stresses, marriages and/or relationships.

There are so many people to pray for, so many in a crisis.
In fact, we are all constantly dealing with our own struggles, little daily obstacles that test our patience and our character and/or major hardships that affect our life.

We can be certain that there is always someone going through a difficult time, and yet have you noticed that some people never show any signs of struggle? We never even realize that they are hurting, because they do it with such poise.

Why are some people able to get through the difficult times without becoming self-destructive, falling into a depression or without taking their anger out on others?

I believe it is by the Grace of God.

They are clinging to their faith!

They are choosing to put their trust in God.

It is so inspiring!

It is easy to get lost in our emotions, but what I have found is that what gets us past our pain is the ability to take our focus off our hurts and to put our focus on God and others. To focus on the fact that He has a plan and that He is silently working in us and in others to get us to where we need to be.

All we have to do is TRUST HIM.
Trust that the Lord has great things in store for us.

Trust that these struggles are building and enhancing character.
That the hardships are necessary to help us evolve into that person that God desires us to be.

We know that the Lord has not promised us an easy life, but He has promised forever for the righteous in heart. He has promised that if we forgive, we will be forgiven. He has promised that His love never fails.

How wonderful that even in the midst of turmoil, we still have so much to be grateful for.
