It's very rare for my family to need a sitter.
I usually schedule my appointments and errands when the kids are at school.
However on Monday evening, my husband and I had an orientation that we couldn't miss.
My oldest stepdaughter stopped by to watch her two younger sisters for a few hours.
The appointment ran a little longer than expected.
Afterwards, my husband went home to tuck the kids in for bed and I ran to the grocery store for a few items.
When I got home I found this note on the kitchen counter from Trinity:
and this note on my pillow from Jocelyn.
It was so sweet.
This was probably the first night in over a year that I haven't been home for our bedtime routine.
On school nights I always set a few minutes aside to go into our girls' rooms and read, talk and say a prayer together.
Just a few precious moments spent together before bed means so much to a child.
&&& yes, this Mommy enjoys it too. :)
Happy Parenting.
