Melt me. Mold me. Fill me . Use me.

So glad it's the weekend.
Not that my days are very different, but my kids and hubby are
at home a little more.
So that's the BIG perk!
Awesome.

I'm got my hair done yesterday!
Finally!
It has been months...
but I'm so excited,
because now that I get to chop of these dead ends
& that means
maybe I'll feel like styling my hair a little more often.
Ya know,
good-byeeeeeee
frumpy housewife. ;)
Awesome.

I thought I'd get a little more writing in today too.
I hand-wrote a few ideas yesterday and so I have some typing to do today.
I don't have a case for my ipad yet,
and was glad to see that it fits perfectly in my Bible bag!
Awesome.

I also took my walk yesterday morning,
and listened to Chuck Swindoll
speak of the Holy Spirit,
his prayer was
you guessed it-
awesome!

Melt me. Mold me. Fill me. Use me.

Lord,
When it comes to relationships lord melt me.
When it comes to objectives and the pursuit of life mold me.
As the day gets long, and the journey gets painful,
fill me with power and perserverence.
And as I face the circumstances, transform me
and be in control of these circumstances
and use me.
Amen.

Happy Saturday friends!

Beautiful Weekend

Did you embrace the wonderful weather here in Brisbane today?  Wasn't it a beautiful day?  We had a very lazy day at home.  The sort of day that starts with the Sunday papers spread all over the bed and it didn't get much busier than a bit of weeding and watering in the garden.  Max spent alot of time running through the sprinkler and we spent alot of time just sitting and enjoying the spectacular day.  What did you get up to today?

PS.  I love that bedroom above with the amazing bookcase...so beautiful!!

My Wonderful Weekend

My plans for a weekend in the garden had to be slightly altered due to the weather.  However, despite the rain I did achieve some gardening goals.  I went to my favourite nursery at Wellington Point yesterday.  If I could put their garden surrounding their nursery onto a truck and deliver it to our house I'd be one happy girl.  I just love wandering around the little pathways through their beautiful established garden.

My aunty and my grandma {the one I photographed here on the blog last week} dropped in for morning tea this morning.  Aunty Jane brought me these pretty roses from her garden.  I love garden roses.  They are my favourite.

As you can see I did go a little crazy at the nursery.  I love the mix of plants I chose.  I really want to add lots of different colours into our garden.

I can't believe our little Max turned 10 months old yesterday.  He is almost walking.  Time really flies...

This morning my brother Sam and my mum, Harry, Max and I went to the Chandler Markets.  I hadn't been before and was so excited by what they had.  I found some beautiful orchids and fresh flowers and a few little vintage surprises too.

Yesterday I collected this bundle of fresh lettuce, beans and tomatoes from our kitchen garden.  I placed them into a basket and took them down to my mum's house.  Today she and Sam made an amazing salad which you will probably find the recipe for over at Sams' Table this week.

Weekends at home are my favourite.  I always feel so inspired and rested and ready to go back to work on a Monday when I have been pottering around the house all weekend.

Until Next Year...

Here are a few snippets from the last few days!

On our way to school this morning, our 9-year-old daughter, Trinity, mentioned that she doesn't want to have a family when she grows up "because they are too much work." I thought it was funny, but I did mention it was too bad a little work was scaring her off, because that means she was going to be missing out on a whole lot of fun. She said she'd think about it. lol

My hubby and I got new phones over the weekend. I got a Droid! I admit, I didn't even want it. I had a hard time spending money on this little piece of technology when I know I have a land line and a computer at home. However, he talked me into and I must admit I love it! The girls and I have been playing Angry Birds each night and I have a few other sweet apps, like the Daily Bible Verse.

Well, good-bye weekend and 'til next year, Valentine's Day, it was fun while it lasted. :)
