Engagement reward: Rs.2 million wrist-watch robbed from Meera's house

LAHORE: Just days after acknowledging the marriage request of Pakistani-American Naveed Shahzad, film actor Meera was stolen from a wrist-watch valued of rupees two million which she had bought for her fiancé to be as a gift on their engagement.

A duty officer at the B-Section Police Station said on Tuesday that a claim had been filed on behalf of the film star, stating that the watch had been robbed from her house in Lahore.

Meera had intended to gift the watch to Shahzad on the day of their engagement. They plan on getting married by the end of this year.

“We’re going to begin an inquiry from her house, as first notion is that it might be an inside job,” the police officer told PPI.

Meera had just declared her retirement from the Pakistan film industry in an interview, and said that she would like to work on a new reflection of herself by working with productions outside the Lollywood circle.
