I am definitely a homebody and so I loooove a beautiful house. When my house is decorated and clean I love to walk through the house peaking in on the rooms. Since I have become a SAHM I spend lots more time at home and most of my hobbies are indoor activites. I also feel good when the family comes home to a house that is clean, warm, inviting and smells like food. I can't forget the food, because food is love. At least, it was in my house and it sounds like it was in my husband's home as well. We both can associate many childhood memories with the smell certain meals and/or desserts.
Well, before we head off to church. I thought I would share a few pictures of rooms in my house that still need a few accessories, but are close to being completed.
The living room. We have already purchased a border, but are waiting on the wall repairs.
The upstairs bathroom that the girls share. Some the shells were collected by us when on vacation.
Issac's room, simple but we didn't have many options for a
15 year old boy who prefers the color black :)
The kitchen and the most used room!
Jocelyn's room. Her favorite holiday is Valentine's Day, can you tell!?
The upstairs hall is where I display a wall full of people that we love!
Even the laundry room has to be user friendly. If it wasn't inviting, I would never want to spend time in there!
The wall plaque in the laundry room (from my mom) says, "At the Heart of the Home There's Mom." It is so true. My heart is at home. One of the most important things for me is to make my home a place that I can enjoy, that my hubby never wants to leave and that the kids always want to return to.
Happy Sunday.
